                                                   About Me

I am a ceramic and mixed media artist based in Wilmington, Delaware. My work primarily focuses on hand-building techniques, which allow me to explore and experiment with texture through various methods. I enjoy using glazes that break naturally over texture, revealing the clay beneath. While hand-building is my main focus, I also incorporate wheel throwing, utilizing brown speckled stoneware to create pieces with a grounded, rustic appeal.

My artistic vision often draws inspiration from mid-century modern aesthetics. The interaction of form, pattern and color in my work evokes feelings of nostalgia and contentment. I strive to create pieces that serve both decorative and functional purposes, including vases, platters, bowls and eclectic wall hangings.

Working with ceramics is an incredibly rewarding experience. It can be both malleable and unpredictable, often guiding me toward unexpected outcomes. I embrace the irregularities that arise during the making process, viewing them as valuable lessons that resonate beyond the studio. This philosophy of acceptance and adaptability is vital to my creative journey.
